Shasta  Pistons & Cylinders

Shasta Design Pistons & Cylinders are known and respected though out the world for their excellent quality and performance. 

These Cylinders are made in the USA and are CNC machined from “Durabar” an American proprietary pressure cast iron that is extruded under extreme pressure into bars of extremely uniform and dense material. 

“Durabar” machines like steel not cast iron.  Shasta Design starts with solid bars of “Durabar” then bore and completely CNC machine the cylinders for the ultimate in performance cylinders

PISTONS & CYLINDERS

1925 CC

Bore: 91mm x Stroke : 74mm = 1925cc    

CR: 10,3:1 with JPS Aircooled Cylinder Heads.

 

CYLINDERS are made of cast iron.

The basic is a VW Typ1 Cylinder that is completely CNC milled and completely remanufactured.

The machining of the bore is done in a precision torque plate fixture and the honing process too.

 

JE PISTONS are forged Pistons , Made in USA with 1.0/1.2/2.8mm ring.

 

So your benefits are:

  • Much more cooling fins (17 fins) and cooling surfaces (ca.35%) than other cast iron cylinders
  • These CYLINDERS are absolutely straight up and round when torqued with 30Nm
  • The finish honing is perfect for the use of the 1.0/1.2/2.8mm piston rings package
  • Case machining to our instructions give you a perfect base and sealing surface
  • You will get exactly 1mm deck height 
  • No cooper sealing rings necessary, because all is straight and parallel
  • Many years in use
  • Stock head studs can be used

Jps Aircooed Racing Pistons

RACING PISTONS and Cylinders

JPS Aircooled & Wahl Spezialkolben, have developed RACING forged PISTONS for JPS Aircooled RACING Cylinder Heads.

These PISTONS are made out of Mahle forgings.

 

Available for racing:

Ø82,5mm, Ø82.95mm for 1600cc (FIA) and Ø83.5mm (SCCA) as well as Ø90mm for Nicasil (1883cc).

 

Compression from 11,3:1 up to 12,5:1, please ask.

 

For street use we can build any custom Pistons.

Nicasil Aluminium Cylinder

Made by LN Engineering

LN Engineering’s Nickies - The original and genuine solid aluminum CNC billet NSC-plated cylinders provide increased strength and cooling, allowing for increased displacement and performance without compromising reliability.

  

The 93mm and 94mm Porsche 356 Nickies are very nice solution for JPS Aircooled SPORT PLUS 93/94mm BILLET CYLINDER HEADS.
